Since 2010, <a href="https://www.wheelership.com/">WheelerShip</a> has been the leading online source for top-quality automotive replacement wheels, parts, and accessories. In addition to selling high-quality products at affordable prices, WheelerShip prioritizes customer satisfaction and takes pride in equipping their customers to make educated purchasing decisions.&nbsp;With their focus on customer satisfaction, WheelerShip understood the importance of investing in their online shopping experience. However, their existing checkout did not match the sleek and sophisticated shopping experience delivered by the rest of their website.“Our native checkout experience was working against us rather than for us,” Kate Cannova, WheelerShip’s Chief Business Officer, recalls. “Too many of our customers were not able to complete checkout successfully due to bad UX and buggy functionality.”&nbsp;WheelerShip knew they needed to overhaul their checkout experience to provide a better end-to-end shopping experience for their customers. This led them to Bolt.

<h3>Powering a stronger ecommerce experience</h3>“Upgrading to a streamlined, more stable, more intuitive checkout was a major step for our business,” Kate recalls. “This helped us offer a more powerful ecommerce experience from beginning to end.”&nbsp;Although checkout was WheelerShip’s first area of focus, they were also able to improve their payment processing and fraud protection. <h3>Bolt's Impact</h3>“We have basically eliminated customer drop-off during the checkout process,” Kate explains.One of the biggest ways Bolt is able to address drop-off during checkout is thanks to the <a href="https://www.bolt.com/network">Bolt Network</a>—a network of tens of millions of shoppers across hundreds of brands. By simply selecting a checkbox, shoppers save their information during their first checkout to create a universal shopper account. Shoppers enjoy a one-click checkout the next time they shop on a site that uses Bolt—even if they’ve never shopped there before.&nbsp;Not only do shoppers with Bolt accounts enjoy a fast, secure, and frictionless checkout experience, but they directly impact revenue. In fact, WheelerShip saw that shoppers with Bolt accounts had a 42% higher checkout completion rate compared to guest shoppers.&nbsp;In addition to increasing checkout conversion, Bolt helped WheelerShip gain better payment processing insights and stay protected against fraud. Kate recalls, “the Bolt [merchant] dashboard gives us customer insights we never dreamed possible with our previous payment processing provider.” Plus, WheelerShip maintains a 98% order approval rate and is always protected if any fraudulent transactions go through thanks to Bolt’s 100% fraud chargeback guarantee.&nbsp;On top of the positive impact of Bolt’s core product offering (checkout, payments, and fraud protection), Bolt’s product roadmap ensures that retailers always have new and innovative features to add to their site—including abandoned cart emails. These emails are sent to shoppers after they’ve left checkout to notify them of items remaining in their cart. Since enabling Bolt’s abandoned cart recovery emails in March 2022, WheelerShip has recovered $500K to date (June 2023).
