Introducing The New Bolt

A new year is a chance to turn the page, start fresh, begin again. And while we do that at Bolt almost around-the-clock, the start of 2023 gave us yet another moment to think about our business anew.&nbsp;&nbsp;Bolt’s new year’s resolution: To help our brands and retailers turn guest shoppers into lifetime customers, by proving how simple and rewarding it is to be known. That focus—on helping our merchants over the short term and long haul—is part of what’s motivated Bolt’s new branding and logo design:<img src="https://res.cloudinary.com/dugcmkito/image/upload/v1674134367/Bolt_Logo_Animation_384ebe352c.gif" alt="Bolt Logo Animation.gif">Today, you’ll see this rolled out on our site, and soon, it’ll appear on the sites of Bolt merchants. For shoppers arriving on our merchants’ sites for the first time, they’ll see a familiar Bolt badge, an indicator of the trust, speed, and convenience they’ve come to associate with Bolt. For our merchants, it’s a reminder that we move quickly as the lightning bolt in the middle of the logo—both in getting shoppers what they need and in implementing our products quickly.&nbsp;In our industry, there’s never been more competition, but there’s also never been more sameness. While we’ll always have a soft spot in our hearts for the shades of blue that got us here—and kept us in good company with others in ecommerce—we also know we’re a bit different than we were when that design debuted. At Bolt, we’re focused on three things in 2023: 1) Creating more trusted shopping destinations by empowering independent merchants; 2) Turning guest shoppers into lifetime customers; 3) Building the world’s first ubiquitous and universal commerce payment and identity network.<img src="https://res.cloudinary.com/dugcmkito/image/upload/v1674134639/PR_Ask_2_70aa7a72e2.png">When we were a smaller company, we had to break through and achieve product-market fit. Once we achieved that, we had to show that our network could scale and that our company could scale with it. Now comes Bolt’s next chapter, obsessing over connecting our merchants and shoppers and new design to match.&nbsp;The new design underlines one of our key features at Bolt: Our products can be flexibly applied across a spectrum of use cases. The Bolt brand can stand on its own in the Lightning Yellow shade, and it can also play a supportive role as an ingredient brand to merchants in the Bolt Black shade.
